Our beloved TR, named Chewey Tootsie Roll after her mother Candy and father Chewey was a grand and beautiful lady. She had grace, style, courage for all she endured in her too short life. Never once unhappy or unwilling to care for her brood of Angel, Darla, and baby Winston. Unable to have babies of her own, although she once gathered all the stuffed animals in the house, and put them under her belly. She welcomed with open arms Darlas eight beautiful pups. She was Aunt TR to Winston, the lone raven furred pup we kept. She had a sweetness unprecedented even to the kindest of all canines - pugs. We miss you terribly TR, but have comfort in knowing you are at peace with the pug angels, and are certain you are ruling them with the grace and dignity you did our home and hearts. You will be in our hearts forever. We love you dearly sweet Princess.

TREASURE.

CH REKA TRUE TREASURE.

1/10/89-26/03/03

“On the 26th of March 2003, Treasure Rhodes crossed the Rainbow Bridge to be with her previous owner her beloved Betty.”

Treasure came to Live at Saylecrest after the death of her owner/breeder Betty Rhodes. [Reka Pugs NZ].She was 18 months old and already a champion. We decided to continue with her show career and had a very successful time with her. She was the vocal pug each morning until her breakfast was served. She is very sadly missed by us all.

NELSON

Nelson came to live with us several years ago when his owner and breeder died. He was placed in a pet  home , but when he became blind, he was returned and stayed with us at 'Saylecrest’ as his quality of life was in a pack situation. We were all impressed with the way this blind wee pug coped with his disability. Now young again and reunited with his previous owner Mary.
